Agricultural Service Board (ASB) – Members-at-Large (2025–2029 Term)

Clear Hills County is seeking five Members-at-Large to serve on the Agricultural Service Board (ASB).
The ASB is a special committee established under the Agricultural Service Board Act to:

Address agricultural concerns

Promote sustainable farming and ranching
-
Support the economic viability of producers in our region
What Members Do:
-
Advise Council and the Minister on agricultural matters
-
Guide weed and pest control, soil and water conservation programs
-
Promote sustainable, viable agriculture
-
Attend monthly meetings, with opportunities to participate in Regional and Provincial ASB Conferences
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must:
-
Be 18 years of age or older
-
Have been a resident of Clear Hills County for at least six months
-
Be an agricultural producer residing within Clear Hills County
-
Remain a resident throughout the term of appointment
-
Not be in arrears, in litigation with the County, or have outstanding compliance orders
-
Not have been found mentally incompetent or convicted of indictable offences
Membership Details:
-
Four-year term
-
Board includes two Advisory Councillors and up to five Members-at-Large
-
Applications considered with attention to balanced regional representation
